Warhawks Boys Take Down Cardinals in Home Wrestling Quad

SHEFFIELD - West Fork boys wrestling won one of their three duals in home quad on Thursday, Jan. 22. The Warhawks defeated the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals 42-41, while falling to the Central Springs Panthers 66-18 and to the Osage Green Devils 77-6.
 

Bulldogs Boys Wrestling Win Both Duals at Forest City

FOREST CITY - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys wrestling won both of their duals in a triangular at Forest City on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The Bulldogs took down the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals 66-9 and the Forest City Indians 47-38.
 
 

Bulldogs Girls End Losing Streak with Win Over Comets

CHARLES CITY - Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls basketball put an end to their six game losing streak with a dominate 53-12 win over the Charles City Comets on Tuesday, Jan. 13. The Bulldogs dominated from the tip, outscoring the Comets 19-5 in the first quarter, 17-1 in the second quarter, 10-0 in the third quarter and 7-6 in the fourth quarter.

Bulldogs Boys Basketball Wins Tight Game Over Comets

CHARLES CITY - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys basketball team defeated the Charles City Comets by a score of 55-50 on Tuesday, Jan. 13. It is the Bulldogs' fourth win of the season, already the same amount of wins the team had all season in 2025. Bulldogs head coach Matt Lokenvitz is proud of the step the team has taken in his first year as head coach.
 

Five Bulldogs Girls Wrestlers Earn Medals in Conference Tournament

ALGONA - It was a celebratory night for the Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls wrestling team, as five girls earned medals in the North Central Conference (NCC) Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 17. As a team, the Bulldogs placed fifth out of seven teams with a team score of 110. Bulldogs' head coach Brittany Stevens on how she thought her team performed overall in the conference tournament.
 

Warhawks Girls Win One of Three Duals on Senior Night

SHEFFIELD - West Fork girls wrestling won one of their three duals in a home quad on Monday, Jan. 12. The Warhakws defeated the Nevada Cubs 36-33 and lost to the Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) Bulldogs 35-33 and to the Clear Lake Lions 48-18. As it was the last home competition of the season it was senior night and the lone senior on the team, Jannifer Ramirez, was honored in between the first two duals of the night.

Bulldogs Split Home Double Dual on Senior Night

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys wrestling team split their two duals in a home double dual on Thursday, Jan. 15. The Bulldogs defeated the Clear Lake Lions 56-21 and lost to the Algona Bulldogs 66-8. It was senior night as the Bulldogs eight seniors; Arnold Guevara, Hazem Abdelfattah, Brody Strother, Ryder Strother, Jacob Mahler, Tristen Mulford, Jhoan Sosa-Castillo and Maddon Evans, where honored in between the two duals.

Warhawks Boys Basketball Drops Game Versus Bearcats

SHEFFIELD - West Fork boys basketball lost to North Butler on Tuesday, Jan. 6 by a score of 54-40. This comes a day after the War hawks fell to Osage on Monday, Jan. 5 by a score of 58-38. The Warhawks were in the game early until the Bearcats began to pull away in the second half.

Warhawks Bounce Back with Win Over Bearcats

SHEFFIELD - The West Fork girls basketball team bounced back from their loss to Osage on Monday, Jan. 5 with a dominate 59-25 victory over the North Butler Bearcats on Tuesday, Jan. 6. The Warhawks jumped out to a big lead early, outscoring the Bearcats 15-4 in the first quarter, and never looked back. Warhawks head coach Rodney Huber on how his team was able to put the loss to Osage behind them and get a win 24 hours later.

Bulldogs Girls Basketball Falls to Algona

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCLAL) girls basketball team lost to the Algona Bulldogs on Friday, Jan. 9 by a score of 61-17. HDCAL was outscored 17-2 in the first quarter, 18-3 in the second quarter, 16-6 in the third quarter and 10-6 in the fourth quarter. This comes after HDCAL lost closes battles to North Butler and Iowa Falls-Alden earlier in the week. HDCAL lost to North Butler by a score of 36-34 on Monday, Jan.

Rough First Quarter Leads Bulldogs to Fall to Algona

Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) boys basketball fell to the Algona Bulldogs by a score of 80-65 on Friday, Jan. 9 after falling behind 18-0 in the first quarter. After Algona's 18-0 run to begin the game, HDCAL fought back and outscored Algona 65-62 for the remainder of the game, tough it wasn't enough to pull out a victory. This comes after HDCAL lost 52-46 to North Butler on Monday, Jan.

Bulldogs Boys and Girls Wrestling Compete in Home Double Dual

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls wrestling teams wrestled in a home double dual that featured both teams on Thursday, Jan. 8. The boys team won both of their matches, defeating Charles City 63-14 and Iowa Falls-Alden 46-24, while the girls split their two duals, defeating Charles City 36-30 and falling to Iowa Falls-Alden 42-24.

Bulldogs Boys Wrestling Wins Two of Three Duals in Independence Quad

INDEPENDENCE - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys wrestling team won two of their three duals in a quad at Independence High School on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Bulldogs defeated the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks 76-6 and the Saydel Eagles 72-12 while losing 69-11 to the Independence Eagles.
 

Bulldogs Girls Wrestling Defeats Eagles in Quad at Independence

INDEPENDENCE - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls wrestling team defeated the Saydel Eagles 42-19, and lost to the Independence Mustangs 40-36 and to the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars 54-18 in quad at Independence High School on Saturday, Jan. 3.
