Hampton-Dumont-CAL Cross Country Teams Run in Belmond-Klemme Invitational

BELMOND - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Belmond-Klemme Invitational at the Belmond Country Club on Tuesday, September 9. The girls' team finished in seventh place out of eight teams with a score of 145, while the boys' team finished in 10th place out of 13 teams with a score of 247.
 

Bulldog Football Falls to Cadets in the Battle for Bradford

IOWA FALLS-ALDEN - Hampton-Dumont-CAL football lost to the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets 36-13 in the Battle for Bradford on Friday, September 12. The Bulldogs got out to an early lead after a 17-yard touchdown run by senior Jacob Mahler. The Bulldogs had a 7-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, but it would be all Cadets from the second quarter on.

Both West Fork Cross Country Teams Finish Fourth at Belmond-Klemme Invitational

BELMOND - The West Fork boys and girls' cross country teams ran in the Belmond-Klemme Invitational at the Belmond Country Club on Tuesday, September 9. Both teams finished fourth overall in their respective meets, with the boys finishing fourth out of 13 teams with a score of 136, and the girls finishing fourth out of eight teams with a score of 106.
 

Warhawk Football Defeats Eagles to Stay Unbeaten

EAGLE GROVE - West Fork football is off to their first 3-0 start since 2010 after defeating the Eagle Grove Eagles 36-16 on Friday, September 12. The game began as a close battle, as both teams put up a touchdown and converted a two-point conversion in the first quarter. After both teams failed to crack the scoreboard in the second quarter, the game went into the halftime break in an 8-8 tie.
 

Warhawks Cross Country has Solid Showing in Newman Catholic Invitational

MASON CITY - The West Fork boys and girls' cross country teams had a solid showing in the Newman Catholic Invitation at North Area Community College on Tuesday, September 2. The boys' team finished in sixth place out of 12 teams with a score of 138. Sophomore Kaden Graf was the first Warhawk to finish, as he finished in 15th place and posted a score of 15 with a time of 19 minutes, 19.4 seconds.

Warhawks Offense Erupts in Win Over Comets

CONRAD - The West Fork football team took down the BCLUW Comets by a score of 56-20 on Friday, September 5. The Warhawks offense exploded, putting 481 yards of total offense. The Warhawks had 138 yards through the air and 343 yards on the ground.
 

Bulldog Football Wins Defensive Slugfest Over Cowboys

Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) football defeated the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowboys 7-6, in a defensive battle on Friday, September 5. It was an impressive game from the Bulldogs defense, as the Cowboys were coming off a game versus Belmond-Klemme in which they ran for over 450 yards. The Bulldogs forced a fumble on the Cowboys first drive of the game, but failed to score in the red zone after losing a fumble themselves.

Bulldogs Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Honored at Football Game

The Hampton-Dumont Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was announced and honored during halftime of the Humpton-Dumont-CAL home game versus Clarion-Goldfield-Dows on Friday, September 5.

Warhawk Football Looking to Keep Improving

Football season is just around the corner, and summer training camps are wrapping up for schools as we get just a couple of weeks away from the regular season. When the West Fork Warhawks host North Butler on Friday, August 22nd it will kick off the fourth season for Warhawks' head coach Daniel Westhoff. When Westhoff took over the program in 2022, the Warhawks were coming off a winless season.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL Volleyball Season Preview

With the 2025-2026 school year kicking off, high school fall sports seasons will be beginning within the next few weeks. Volleyball season for Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) and many other schools kicks off with scrimmages this weekend on Saturday, August 16. The HDCAL Bulldogs will compete in scrimmages at Saint Ansgar this weekend, before hosting Belmond-Klemme for the first game of the regular season on Tuesday, August 19th at 7:00 p.m.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL Football Season Preview

The football season for the Hampton-Dumont-Cal (HDCAL) Bulldogs will officially be underway next week when they travel to take on Osage on Friday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. Head coach Cole Miller will look to lead the Bulldogs back to a winning record after going 3-6 last season. While the Bulldogs will be returning the majority of their roster, the few seniors they did lose were key contributors to last year's team.

Warhawks Win Their First Ever State Tournament Game

The West Fork softball team capped off their historic season with their first ever victory in the state tournament. The Warhawks defeated the Durant Wildcats 7-1 on Tuesday, July 22 in the quarterfinals of the IHSAA 2A state tournament at the Rogers Sports Complex in Fort Dodge. The win advanced the Warhawks to the state semifinals for the first time in school history. 
 

Five Warhawks Make Top of Iowa East All-Conference Teams

The 2025 all-conference baseball teams for the Top of Iowa East conference have been announced. Thirty-three total players made up the first team, second team and honorable mentions team, with five West Fork Warhawks being selected. Senior Nolan Shreckengost was selected to the first team.

Morton, Rieken, Swieter and Aalbers Selected to NCC All-Conference Teams

The 2025 all-conference softball teams for the North Central Conference have been announced. Thirty-four total players made up the first, second and third teams, with four Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs being selected.

Mahler, Wikert and Moats make NCC All-Conference Team

The 2025 all-conference baseball teams for the North Central Conference have been announced. Thirty-five total players made up the first, second and third teams, with three Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs being selected. Senior Taylor Mahler and senior Dawson Wikert were the two Bulldogs that made second team all-conference while senior Jaxon Moats made third team all-conference. 

Rother Hits Clutch Home Run to Send Warhawks to State

West Fork softball is heading back to the state tournament for the second season in a row after having never made it in school history before that. The Warhawks moved onto state after defeating the Central Springs Panthers 3-2 in a thrilling extra-inning affair. The game ended in the bottom of the eighth when sophomore first baseman Brooke Rother smashed a game-winning walk-off home run over the left-center field fence.
