Bulldog Volleyball Drops Four Matches in Tournament at Roland-Story

Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball dropped all six matches they played last week. The Bulldogs started the week by going 0-4 in the Norseman Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Monday, September 29, losing 2-0 to the Roland Story Norsemen, the Gilbert Tigers, the Marshalltown Bobcats and the South Hardin Tigers.

Bulldogs Beat Cyclones for Second Consecutive Win

DENVER - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL (H-D-CAL) football team picked up their second straight win with a 32-14 road victory over the Denver Cyclones on Friday, October 3. The Bulldogs offense was able to move the ball well, accumulating 422 yards of total offense, while the defense held the Cyclones to just 198 yards of total offense.

Warhawks Cross Country Teams Have Solid Showing in Bulldog Invitational

The West Fork boys and girls' cross country teams ran in the Bulldogs invitational at Maynes Grove on Thursday, October 2. The boys' team had an impressive showing, finishing second out of six qualified teams with 52 total points, while the girls' team finished in sixth place out of six qualified teams with a total score of 122 points.

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls' cross country teams ran in their home meet, the Bulldog Invitational at Maynes Grove on Thursday, October 2. The boys team finished in fourth place out of six qualified teams with a total score of 104 points, while the girls team finished in fifth place out of six qualified teams with a total score of 122 points.

Bulldogs Offense Erupts in Victory over Huskies

OELWEIN - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) football team picked up a 63-19 victory in a road game over the Oelwein Huskies on Friday, September 26. The Bulldogs offense had a monster game, accumulating 511 yards of total offense, with 199 passing yards and 312 rushing yards. Bulldogs' head coach Cole Miller was pleased with how much the offense produced in the game.
 

Warhawk Football Picks Up First Loss of Season

MASON CITY - Westfork football collected their first defeat of the season in a 28-21 loss to the Newman Catholic Knights on Friday, September 26. I was a back and forth game in which the Warhawks late comeback attempt fell just short. Warhawks' head coach Daniell Westhoff explained how his team's goals are still in front of them despite the loss.
 

H-D-CAL Volleyball Drops Conference Match to Webster City

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball team lost 3-0 to the Webster City Lynx on Tuesday, September 23. The Bulldogs lost the first set 25-15, the second set 25-7 and the third set 25-16. Junior Kenley Hansen led the Bulldogs with four assists and junior Addison Aalbers led the team with 19 attacks and four kills. Defensively, sophomore Bridget Brocka and Aalbers each led the Bulldogs with one block, while Aalbers also led the team with nine digs.

MANLY - The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Panther Invite hosted by Central Springs at the Pioneer Town and Country Club on Thursday, September 25. The girls' team finished ninth place out of nine teams with a total score of 205, while the boys' team finished in ninth place out of 14 teams with a total score of 246.
 

West Fork Cross Country Teams Run in Panther Invite

MANLY - The West Fork boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Panther Invite hosted by Central Springs at the Pioneer Town and Country Club on Thursday, September 25. The boys' team finished in finished in seventh place out of 14 teams with a total score of 198, while the girls' team finished in eighth place out of nine teams with a total score of 205.
 

Warhawk Volleyball Falls to Osage in Conference Match

OSAGE - The West Fork volleyball team fell 3-0 in three sets at the Osage Green Devils on Tuesday, September 23. The Warhawks lost the first set 25-14, the second set 25-11 

and the third set 25-9. Sophomore Zada Huff led the team with five assists, while senior Brylee Dickman led the team with 25 attacks and five kills. Defensively, senior Madisyn 

Johnson led the team with 16 digs.  

 

Warhawks Drop Matches to Saints and Cardinals Last Week

West Fork volleyball lost both of the matches they played last week, first losing 3-0 to the Saint Ansgar Saints on Tuesday, September 16, before losing 3-0 to the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Cardinals 3-0 on Thursday, September 18.
 

West Fork Cross Country Runs in Home Meet

SHEFFIELD - West Fork's boys and girls cross country teams ran in their home meet at the Ridge Stone Golf course on Monday, September 15. It was a small meet, with Belmond-Klemme, North Butler and Clear Lake Classical the only other schools running in the meet.

Warhawk Football off to Best Start in Program History

SHEFFIELD - West Fork football is off to the first 4-0 start in program history after defeating the AGWSRCougars 7-6 in a defensive battle at home on Friday, September 19. Warhawks head coach Daniel Westhoff discussed what having the first 4-0 start in team history means to him.
 

Bulldogs Drop Game to Vikings on Homecoming

Hampton-Dumont-CAL football lost to the Vinton-Shelsburg Vikings by a score of 21-20 on Friday, September 26. It was a competitive game throughout, with a blocked extra point being the deciding factor in the game. The Vikings scored on their opening possession of the game, but the Bulldogs immediately responded with a 66-yard touchdown pass and catch from sophomore quarterback Blaek Burmester to senior Aaden Keehn to tie the game at 7-7.

Bulldog Volleyball Defeats Clarksville in Nashua-Plainfield Tournament

NASHUA - Hampton-Dumont-CAL (H-D-CAL) volleyball defeated the Clarksville Indians 2-0 in the Nashua-Plainfield Varsity Volleyball Tournament, where they went 1-2 in three matches. The Bulldogs two losses in the tournament were 2-0 to the Rockford Warriors and 2-0 to South Winneshiek Warriors.
 

Bulldogs' Cross Country Teams Run in Clear Lake Invitational

CLEAR LAKE - The Hapton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls cross country teams ran in the Clear Lake Invitational at the Veterans Memorial Golf Course on Thursday, September 15. The boys' team finished in 10th place out of 13 teams with a total score of 288, while the girls' team finished in 10th place out of 11 teams with a total score of 231.
