Joanne A. Nuehring, 85, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the Hampton United Methodist Church. The Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Joanne and her family.

Fred Loren Baldwin, 79, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He was born on May 16, 1942, in Canton, Ohio, to Fred and Florence Baldwin Sr.

Fred attended elementary school in Canton, Ohio, Rantoul, Illinois, and San Francisco, California. He graduated from high school in Beaver Creek, Ohio. In college he majored in computer technology.

Selmar Johansen, former Hampton resident, passed away peacefully December 29, 2021 at his home in Roseville, CA. He was one month shy of his 103rd birthday. He was an active and involved man until the last few days of his life.

Donna Jean (Mathahs) Penaluna, 82, of Ankeny passed away peacefully at Edencrest at Green Meadows in Johnston on January 18, 2022, surrounded by family following a long illness. 

Julio Hernández de la Rosa, 91, of Webster City and formerly of Ackley, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. A funeral mass will be 11 a.m. on Thursday January 20th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ackley. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Raymond Glenn Klein, 91, of Hampton, passed away on January 17, 2022 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, at First Christian Church with visitation prior to service from 9-10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Hampton Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.

Ivan D. Davis, loving husband, proud father, and devoted grandfather, passed away at the age of 89, at the Shell Point Retirement Community in Ft. Myers, Florida, on January 17, 2022.

Wilda J. Gilchrist, 87, of Hampton, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City.

Joe Allen Pitsor, 88, passed away on January 16, 2022, at the Rehabilitation Center in Hampton.  
 

Lillian I. Green, 102, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at the Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton.

Ronald Sailer, 73, of Ackley, passed away on Thursday January 13th at his home under hospice care of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP.) . Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. on Sunday January 16, 2022 at the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Ackley. A private service will be held with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The service will be on St. John's Facebook page.

Janiece Elaine Davis, 88, passed away at Shell Point Retirement Community in Ft. Myers, Florida, on January 12, 2022. 
 

Loren Harry Schmitt (98) passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at New Perspective Senior Living in Mankato, Minnesota.
Loren was born April 11, 1923 to Harry and Esther (Dreyer) Schmitt in Hampton, Iowa.  

Harm Freese, 84 of Hampton passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Mercy One North Iowa Medical Center, due to COVID complications. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Funeral services were 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Church of the Living Word in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton.
