Elaine Joy Meyer, 66, of Hampton, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at her home in Hampton. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home, 306 Central Ave East, Hampton, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday. Elaine’s request was for those in attendance to please dress in casual attire.

Charlotte Marian Klein, 90, of Ackley, Iowa passed away March 6 at Grand Jivante’ in Ackley. A celebration of Charlotte’s life was 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 496B Raven Avenue, rural Geneva. Charlotte will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service. Linn’s Funeral Home and the Cremation Society of Illinois are caring for Charlotte and her family.

Lori Sue Erickson Veach was born in Hampton, Iowa on February 12, 1959, to Robert William Erickson and Shirley Ann Erickson. Lori was born with an older sister Cindy and an older brother Eric. A younger brother Bill came along a few years later. 

Dennis Ray Vestweber was born June 25, 1943 and passed away March 1, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona with family and friends at his bedside. A celebration of life will be held at the Mesa residence on March 26. A second celebration will be held in Alexander on June 16th at 3:30 on Dennis’s farm. William Earl Smith Jr., 65, of Dumont, passed away February 4, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. He was born on November 15, 1956, in Nevada, Iowa, to Earl and Emma Smith.

LaRae Sandin, 85, of Hampton passed away peacefully February 28th 2022 at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton before taking up residence in her new home in Heaven. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church in Hampton. A private burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery. Mary Joyce Clemons of Sheffield, Iowa and formally of Eldora passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa. Per Mary’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services for Mary Clemons will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Linn’s Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel.

Helen Brandt, 90, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.  
She was born on August 4, 1931, in Hampton, to Hilko and Lena (Meyers) Boelkes.  Helen attended school in Hansell. 

William (Bill) Owen Foss, 67, passed away on February 22, 2022, at Accura Health Care in Pleasantville, Iowa. Bill Foss was born in Belmond, Iowa, on May 3, 1954, to Norman and Helen Foss and grew up in Latimer, Iowa, where he graduated from CAL Community High School. He was a member of the CAL band, participated in drama, and enjoyed golfing at the Latimer Golf Club.

Julie Ann Anderson passed away February 15, 2022 at 6:50 pm. at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, Minnesota from SARS-CoV-2 complications. Julie was 62 years old. Family gathered to love and support Julie through live streaming means and in-person visits at her passing. Julie’s Celebration of Life is10:00 am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 521 Rocksylvania Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa 52601.

Karen Heitland, 79, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22 at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to the William R Bliss Cancer Center in Ames. 

Brandon Stotser, 35, of Alden, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at his home in Alden. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Iowa Falls armory with Pastor Steve Hill officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Carl Heeren, 91, of Hansell, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. He was born on November 30, 1930, in Butler County, Iowa, to George and Ida (Plummer) Heeren.
