Overna "Tootie" Card, 92, of Hampton, formerly of Dumont, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. A public visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will take place at a later date. Ruth Oelmann, 97, of Ackley, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Grand JiVante in Ackley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Ackley with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. 

Diane Kay Bushbaum, 68, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Diane was born September 5, 1953, in Charles City, daughter of Charlie and Marie (Hoodjer) Hinders.  She graduated from Allison-Bristow High School. Diane married the love of her life, Jay Bushbaum on June 30, 1979, at Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. 

Selmar Johansen, former Hampton resident, passed away peacefully December 29, 2021, at his home in Roseville, California, one month shy of his 103rd birthday. 
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27 at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home, 306 Central Avenue East in Hampton with inurnment for Selmar and wife Louva following at the Hampton Cemetery. Lunch will be served afterward at the Hampton County Club.

Melvin Beyer, 90, of Dows, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2022  from 4-7 p.m. at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with a private family burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

               Shirley Helen Swieter passed away April 27, 2022, at the Hampton Rehabilitation Center in Hampton, IA. She was born June 20, 1935, in Coulter, Iowa to Richard and Gladys (Rodemeyer) Thielen.  Shirley attended Franklin Consolidated School and was united in marriage to Robert Swieter on March 9, 1952, in Latimer, Iowa. 

Helen Brandt, 90, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Maynes Grove Cemetery, rural Hampton.  Counsell Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Helen and her family. 
She was born on August 4, 1931, in Hampton, to Hilko and Lena (Meyers) Boelkes.  Helen attended school in Hansell. 

Dolores Thelma (Vikturek) Buttjer, 98, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022, at Counsell Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton. A graveside service for friends and family will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Hampton Cemetery.

Dorothy Ann (Tweed) Alden, 96, of Sheffield entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield, Iowa.  Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m.

Bruce B. Larsen (January 24, 1947 – April 25, 2022)
Bruce B Larsen of Custer, SD passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 after a lengthy illness of Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy body Dementia at the age of 75.  He was born January 24, 1947 to Benton & Annetta (Johansen) Larsen of Coulter, IA.  He grew up in the Latimer, Coulter, and Alexander, IA. area and attended and graduated from CAL Community School.

Margaret (Margie) Smith, 75, of Iowa Falls passed away on April 22, 2022 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center surrounded by her family. She lived, worked, and attended school in Alden, Iowa.
