The Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) boys and girls track and field teams both competed in the Jim Basye Coed Relays at HDCAL on Friday, May 2. The boys finished third out of 10 teams with a total of 82 points while the girls finished ninth out of 14 teams with a total of 41 points.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) track and field star Charlee Morton competed in her third Drake Relays, finishing second in the discus throw and winning her third straight championship in shot put.
The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys soccer team defeated Garner-Hayfield-Ventura by a score of 3-1 on Thursday, April 17. The game started fast for the Bulldogs as after a beautiful pass from Gruelke Briggs set up a goal for Christain Zavala just over two minutes into the first half. However, the Cardinals would quickly respond after a hand ball by the Bulldogs set up a penalty kick.
The Hampton-Dumont boys and girls golf teams both finished fourth out of four teams in the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadet invite on Wednesday, April 17. The Bulldogs girls finished with 481 total strokes. The Bulldogs lowest scorer was Kenzie Moorehead who shot 107.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL (HDCAL) track and field star, senior Charlee Morton, is in the midst of one of the most memorable individual careers for any Bulldog athlete in recent memory. Morton has won back to back region championships at the Drake Relays and state championships in both shot put and discus.
