Since Hapton-Dumont-CAL girls soccer head coach Ben Schlachter took over the program in 2023, he introduced the kid captain program where a kid is brought to be the “team captain” for the Bulldogs.
ACKLEY — The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Birdbusters trapshooting team opened up their season with a solid showing on Saturday, taking home 14 total medals, including four team medals and ten individual medals.
HAMPTON— The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs girls soccer team dropped their home opener of the season 10-0 to the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets on Thursday. The girls were missing five players and were facing one of their toughest opponents of the season.
The first meet for the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs’ girls tennis team was on April 1 at Clear Lake. Heading into the season co-head coach Chad Johnson said that the number one goal for the team is to get better every day.
CLEAR LAKE—- Both the boys and girls track teams competed at the North Iowa Indoor Championships at Clear Lake on March 27 and March 28 for Hampton-Dumont-CAL.
The season is approaching for the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs boys golf team. The first meet of the season is on April 15 at Ridge Stone Golf Club at 4:15 p.m. Head coach Trevor Eiklenborg said that a goal for the team is for the seniors to be leaders for the team this year.
The West Fork Warhawks girls basketball team made a strong push in the postseason as the team went all the way to the Class 2A Region 6 championship game where the Warhawks were defeated by Central Lyon 69-53. The Warhawks ended the season with a record of 20-4 on the year which was a big jump from the previous season where the team went 13-10.
With the season underway after the team’s first meet on March 18 that took place at the Wartburg College HS Track and Field Invitational. The Hampton-Dumont-CAL Bulldogs boys track and field team is ready for the rest of the season.
