A new burger served at Victoria Hawley’s restaurant comes with a side of compassion.

The CAL and Hampton-Dumont Community School Districts will now offer breakfast and lunch services for students.
Per information released by the district Tuesday, the school will distribute breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. for children ages one to 18 years old. Pick up locations will be at the CAL building and Hampton-Dumont-High School in the north parking lot.

Fareway in Hampton will operate under new hours for the time being.
Due to an influx of store traffic and added safety precautions as concern over the COVID-19 virus increases, Fareway will be open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning tomorrow (Wednesday, March 18). The store will be open only to people 65 years and older, those susceptible to illnesses and expecting mothers from 8 to 9 a.m.

Increased instances of influenza in the county have lead to visitor restrictions at Franklin General Hospital.
Michelle Hill, registered nurse with infection prevention, said the hospital at the beginning of the month implemented restrictions that do not allow visitors under the age of 14 or anyone with influenza-like symptoms.
