Sheffield Community Clubs Sees Another Successful Egg Hunt

The weather didn't stop the Sheffield Community Club from holding their annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4.
Shortly before noon, around 100 children stopped by the West Fork Wellness Center, where they found thousands of eggs stuffed with candy.
This year, the residents at the Deerfield Place Assisted Living center helped stuff the 3,500 eggs for the children. While it took them several weeks to complete the project, the eggs were picked up by the children within several minutes.
According to Sheffield Community Club member Jamie Robbins, the club has held the annual egg hunt for more than three decades now.
"We had a great day and were very happy with the turnout," Robbins told the Chronicle the following day. "We counted 150 entries into our prize drawings and estimate around 250 people came to enjoy the event, which is a great turnout, especially for a last minute location change due to weather."
The event was made possible by the following sponsors: Mercy One Shefield Pharmacy, United Bank & Trust, Jaspersen's Insurance and Real Estate, Sheffield Veterinarian Clinic, West Fork Customs, Payton Plagge, Block 10, Peachy Keehn, Forever Yours, Robbin's Daycare, Mikes Repair, Wayne's Ski & Cycle, Dahley Designs, Iowa Drainage, Jenny & David Graf, Central Park Dentistry, Koseligs, Linda Chadduck, Trends by Cherish, Timeless Treasure, Lacee and Andrew O'Connor and an anonymous donor.
