Guests at the Franklin County Fairgrounds took in the sights of a modified fire-works show on Friday, July 3 from the comfort of their own vehicles.

Despite the COVID-19 pan-demic, the Hampton Rotary Club and the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce still presented its annual Third of July fireworks show at the fairgrounds. Instead of allow-ing people to view the show from the grandstand, guests were encouraged to stay in their vehicles in order to ob-serve social distancing.

Prior to the fireworks show, the Hampton Municipal Band entertained an audience at Band Shell Park with its annu-al Third of July patriotic con-cert. Photos by Greg Forbes and Travis Fischer
