HD Family Fun Night a Big Hit With Students and Families

Hampton-Dumont PTO’s “Family Fun Night” attracted a steady crowd of students from start to finish Friday night. 

Teachers and staff from local schools could be found painting faces, selling tickets, doling out prizes, and overseeing the games in the gym at the Hampton-Dumont Middle School that evening. 

The event, which ran from 5 to 7:30 p.m. was hosted by the school district’s parent-teacher organization, which coordinates a family fun night at least once a year. 

Mikayla Rodriquez, the front desk secretary at North Side Elementary, was one of the face painters at the event that night. 

“I thought the turnout was really good,” she said. “It was a lot of fun. It was really nice seeing all the families and students outside of school.”
