The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys soccer team will look to build off of a solid 20225 season. Last season, the Bulldogs had a record of 10-4-3 on the season and 6-3 in conference play. The Bulldogs defeated the Charles City Comets by a score of 7-1 on May 20, 2025 in the first round of the Class 2A Region 2 playoffs before losing to the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons by a score of 7-1 in the second round on May 27, 2025.

The Bulldogs will be losing a lot of senior production and leadership from last year's team. Some key pieces that graduated last year were defense-man Silas Buesman, goal keeper Jose-Aragon-Mendez and Hampton-Dumont-CAL all-time leading goal scorer Fernando Mota. Despite losing a lot of production and leadership, the Bulldogs will be returning a lot of production from last season. The Bulldogs will be led by the team assists leader from last season, junior Hunter Rieken, and junior Christain Zavala, who was second on the Bulldogs last season with 11 goals. Some other important returning players will be junior Jesus Flores, who started 15 of 16 games for the Bulldogs last year and accumulated six goals and one assist.

While having to replace a lot of production, the Bulldogs will look to build off a successful 2025 season. The Bulldogs first match of the season is when they host the Clear Lake Lions at home on Tuesday, March 31 at 4:30 p.m.
