Maas qualifies for XC Class 3A State

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL boys and girls track team ran at Decorah for the Class 3A State Qualifying meet on Wednesday.

Sophomore Lydia Maas qualified for state with a seventh place finish.

She finished in 20:08.90.

“It was a great night to run,” coach Traci Moorehead said. “All the kids ran well. Looking forward to watching [Maas] run for a second time at state in Fort Dodge.”

The girls team finished ninth out of 13 teams, the boys finished 12th out of 13 teams.
