HAMPTON-DUMONT-CAL CROSS COUNTRY

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL cross country team competed in the Lake Mills Invitational on Monday, Oct. 4. The meet was run on the Rice Lake Golf Course.

 

Boys Results

The Bulldogs placed fourth in the Lake Mills Invitational, scoring 85 points. Eight teams competed in the meet. Forest City won the meet with 37 points and North Butler Green was second with 74 points. Jack Showalter, a senior, led the team with a top 10 finish. Showalter placed seventh with a time of 18:37.96.

Brandon Hisler was the next runner to cross the line with a time of 20:08.72, good for 20th place. Right behind him was Isaac Vosburg, who finished in 22nd place with a time of 20:12.52, Eli Fink placed 24th in 20:15.42 and Peyton Kofoot was 27th in 20:54.10.

Also competing were: Marshal Rust, 35th, 22:07.95; Rimmy Cara, 36th, 22:10.27; Noah Shaver, 44th, 23:01.63; Isaac Sauke, 54th, 24:04.22; Tam Hindin, 59th, 25:29.86; and Cade Alonzo, 63rd, 27:25.89.

 

Girls Results

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls may not have had enough runners to place as a team, but the runners they did have competing did a stellar job. Three of the HD-CAL girls placed in the top 10. The future is definitely looking bright for the Bulldogs, as all four of the girls are underclassmen.

Lydia Maas, a sophomore, took top honors at the Lake Mills Invitational with a first place finish in a time of 20:51.97.

Teaghan Bird, a sophomore, was fourth with a time of 23:05.99 and Lily Hambly, a freshman, was sixth with a time of 23:38.94.

Anne Henrichs also competed in the race and finished 30th with a time of 27:34.11.

North Union won the meet with a score of 36, followed by Forest City with 46 points. Eight teams competed in the meet. Four of the teams did not place.

 

Junior High Results

The Hampton-Dumont-CAL middle school athletes also competed in the Lake Mills Invitational.

The girls team only had one girl competing. Kaelyn Deetz placed 38th with a time of 27:49.87.

The boys team places sixth with a score of 101. Conner Miller paced the team with a 12th place finish in 13:32.34. Jacob Cady was 41st with a time of 18:12.89. Finishing in 47th and 48th places were Liam Murray with a time of 20:32.57 and Pheo Riemenschneider, 20:32.69. Tyler Husted finished in 53rd place with a time of 28:06.56.
