Will operate out of Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home on Highway 65

Sietsema Family Monument Sales now has a new home in Hampton.

Patrick Sietsema, owner, recently moved the business into the newly opened Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home on Highway 65 between Wood Vision Clinic and Pralle City Wash.

Sietsema started the monument service in the fall of 1999 and moved to its former location at the corner of Highways 3 and 65 in Hampton. Sietsema said he had the opportunity to sell the former property and move to the new funeral home as a part owner.

Sietsema said he’ll continue to offer the same services, such as helping families design a memorial, the sale of accessories like vases and markers for veterans, cleaning the monuments and more.

Sietsema Family Monument Sales is now fully operational out of the new funeral home, which Sietsema said gives families access to all services necessary to plan memorial and burial services under one roof.

“I think this works well helping families out,” he said. “They can take care of things here without having to go around meeting new people, and I think that helps.”

Office hours for the monument service are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment for after office hours and weekends.

Sietsema said he invites the public to see the service’s new location, as well as the entirety of the new funeral home, at an open house on Nov. 15.

“It’s a very warming situation for me to move to the new facility. It’s modern and all ADA approved and handicap accessible,” he said. “It’s a breath of fresh air.”
