Warhawks Boys Basketball Season Ends with Loss to Broncos

The West Fork boys basketball team's season came to an end with a 74-52 loss to the Belmod-Klemme Broncos in the second round of the Class 1A District 1 playoffs on Thursday, Feb. 19. This comes after the Warhawks defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs 70-60 in the first round on Monday, Feb. 16.

In the win over the Bulldogs, The Warhawks used a strong second quarter to take the lead and never looked back. Sophomore Jayden Haller led the Warhawks with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Junior Lane Kollmam led the Warhawks with 10 rebounds to along with his eight points. Junior Ayden Bonner and sophomore Connnor Swenson led the Warhawks with four assists each.

In the loss to the Broncos, the Warhawks were unable to comeback from a 16-point halftime deficit. Stats for this game were not made available by 1 p.m. om Monday, Feb. 23.

The Warhawks finish the season with a record of 10-14 and 7-7 in conference play. With the Warhakws losing only three seniors and returning most of their production, they will look to come back stronger and improve next season.
