Madison Heilskov and Mackenzy Valley Earn All-Conference Selections

Two members of the Hampton-Dumont-CAL girls basketball team earned North Central Conference All-Conference honors for the 2025-2026 season. Sophomore MacKenzy Valley was selected to the second team all-conference while junior Madison Heilskov was selected to the third team all-conference.

Valley led the Bulldogs with 16.5 points per game, 2.5 assists per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, 3.5 steals per game and 2.3 blocks per game. She shot 31.6 percent from the field, 22.8 percent from three-point range and 62.3 percent from the free throw line. Bulldogs head coach Miranda Stafford spoke on the leadership Valley showed on the court this year.

"MacKenzy did a great job being a floor leader for our team this year and earned her all-conference second team selection," Stafford said. "I am proud of her transition as a role player last year to our main scorer this year and show she continued to grow throughout the year into that."

Heilskov was second on the Bulldogs with 7.5 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 1.9 steals per game and 0.6 blocks per game. Heilskov also averaged one assist per game while shooting 24.7 percent from the field and 40 percent from the free-throe line. Coach Stafford discussed Heilskov's improvement this season.

"Madison making third team all-conference shows her growth throughout the year and her pure athleticism," she said. "She was often outsized in the post and did a great job of using her quickness to defend bigger post players. I'm excited to see what she does in the off season and with the experience she got this year to continue ti make strides as a basketball player this year."

Both Heilskov and Valley will return next season and will look to improve as players to help the Bulldogs get back to making deep playoff runs.
