P1: Sale signs could be seen along HWY 3 for the annual Corridor Yard sale officially held August 31st to Sept 2nd.

P2: Corridor sales were still going on in Hampton through Sunday with yards open to shoppers.

The Annual HWY 3 Corridor Yard Sale was held this past week into the weekend from Aug 30th to Sept 2nd. The Sale stretched through three counties from Goldfield through Allison, and included sales in Thor, Eagle Grove, Belmond, Alexander, Latimer, Coulter, Sheffield, Bradford, Geneva, Hansell, Dumont, Bristow and Clarksville.

The event, managed by the Franklin County Chamber of commerce, in cooperation with neighboring Chambers, drew 86 registrants by the Aug 18th deadline. For $10 the registrants got on a list that was distributed via Facebook, Casey’s and the Chambers in the participating communities, as well as on a Google map created by the chamber and released Aug 26th.

There were also doubtlessly sellers who erected signage to capitalize on the traffic, so the total count of the sellers likely safely exceeded more than a hundred, offering everything from golf clubs, antiques, motors, barn doors, baked goods, tools and guitars to tons and tons of clothing.

The official end of the sale was Saturday, but on Sunday signs could still be seen along the route and sellers were still greeting streams of shoppers.
