Hampton harriers end regular season
The Lady Bulldogs’ Lydia Maas led Hampton girls with a time of 21:10 for fifth place at the North Central Conference cross country meet as the girls took sixth with 120 points.
While a threat of the mercury dipping down close to freezing was on the horizon for the weekend, the conference meet saw sunny/partly cloudy skies with the temperature at 70, capping a pleasant season for runners.
For the day, St. Edmond girls grabbed first place with 61 points with Clear Lake in second place with 64 points.
Maas’ teammate Teaghan Bird was 13th in 22:52 while Lily Hambly had 24th in 23:26.
Sydney Buseman was 33rd in 24:39.
The girls were sixth overall.
Hampton boys ended up in fifth place with 133 points as Clear Lake led the day with 31 points, followed by Humboldt in second with 74 points.
Miles Rust led the Bulldogs in 16th with a time of 18:39 while Jack Showalter had 18th in 18:41.
Brandon Hisler was 30th in 19:33, and Isaac Vosburg managed 34th in 19:50. Eli Fink took 35th in 19:51.
PEtyon Kofoot had 41st in 20:19, and Marshal Rust was 42nd in 20:29.
