Gavynn Homero Ramirez, 11 months

Gavynn Homero Ramirez, 11 months, passed away peacefully at his home in Sheffield on Friday, December 16. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton. 

Gavynn was born on January 7, 2022 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion, Iowa to Homero and Kaitlyn Ramirez. He was a happy healthy little boy. He loved discovering new things to do, always at the heels of his brother and sister. Gavynn had the sweetest smile, and the brightest eyes. He would light up the room. His arms were always ready to give a big hug. His snuggles were the best. His favorite thing to do was climb and test limits. Gavynn loved eating, especially snacks. He enjoyed listening to music. His favorite movie was Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story. He is a beautiful baby boy. You will always be daddy’s gordito.

Gavynn is survived by his parents Homero and Kaitlyn Ramirez, brother Gabriel, sisters Gesiena and Genevieve. Maternal survivors include grandmother Andrea Kellison, grandfather Jerad Johnson, great-grandparents Mark and JoAnn Kellison and Teresa and Jeff Johnson, uncle Dakota Johnson, uncle Jacob (Lucy) Kellison and their daughter Leah, aunt Cassandra (Gio) Hernandez and their children Tomas and Ximena, aunt Isabel Rodriguez and uncles Joseph, Carlos and Max Rodriguez. Paternal survivors include great-grandfather Mario Moreno, uncles Cristian Valdez and his daughter Margo Valdez, Santos Ramirez and Daniel Ramirez, aunt Raquel and Isai Ramirez and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal cousin Jack Kellison and paternal grandfather Homero Ramirez, grandmother Guadalupe Urbina, great-grandmother Ana Ramirez and cousin Santos Ramirez Jr.
