An Evening Like It Used To Be

The Franklin County Arts Council will be presenting "An Evening Like It Used to Be" on Saturday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Windsor Theatre in Hampton. For this special event the FCAC will recreate the entertainment that was presented at the Windsor in the early part of the 20th century. The evening will begin with a performance of the "Windsor Big Band," playing the hit music of the 1930s and 1940s. This will be followed by the 1923 Harold Lloyd silent movie, "Safety Last," with musical accompaniment provided by a twelve-piece orchestra. The evening will conclude with a vaudeville show featuring comedy skits, a ventriloquist, a barbershop quartet, and surprises for the audience. Tickets will be available at the Windsor Theatre the evening of the performance. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
