Dottalou “Dottie” Mae Olson, 98

Dottalou “Dottie” Mae Olson, 98, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Dottie was born on December 8, 1922 in Latimer, Iowa to William and Lessie (Jones) Branan. Dottie was united in marriage to LeRoy Elphic on September 14, 1943 and was later united in marriage to John Olson on January 23, 1980 in Tulare, California.

Dottie is survived by her daughters Sharon (Mark) Thede of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Sandra (Jim) Johnson of Geneva, Iowa; her 4 grandchildren Shay (Kevin) Evans of Louisville, Kentucky, Travis Johnson of Geneva, Iowa, Nichole (Chad) Miller of Waukee, Iowa and Jolynn (James) Sprung of Hampton, Iowa; and 9 great grandchildren Avery and Harrison Evans of Louisville, Kentucky, Cameron Johnson of Wellsburg, Jaden Johnson of Cedar Falls, Alexis (Lexi) and William Johnson of Ackley, Channing and Nova Miller of Waukee and Cody Elphic of Hampton.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Dale Lumley, husband LeRoy Elphic, husband John Olson, brother Wayne Branan, sister Ethelda (Tillie) Gamble and son and daughter-in-law Larry and Sandra Elphic.
