City Council Approves "No Parking" Zone for Side Lot at Hardee's

The side lot between Hardee's and Kwik Star, along the 10 block of 3rd St Sw, will no longer be available for public parking.

The Hampton city councilors approved the third and final reading of Ordinance 408 with a roll call vote, starting with a motion by City Councilor Bill Holmstrom and a second by Councilor Jerre Grefe. Ordinance 408 is defined as "An ordinance amending section 69.08 of the Hampton Municipal Code by adding subsections thereto designating an additional no parking zone."

The new ordinance goes into effect Tuesday, Dec. 16, upon publication of the news in the Chronicle. City Manager Ron Dunt said a "no parking" sign will be installed in the area once the ordinance goes into effect.
