Charles Dean Wiemann

Charles Dean Wiemann, 68, of Urbandale, went to his eternal home with Jesus on March 8, 2026, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., March 21, 2026, at 1:30 PM at Prairie Ridge Church (825 NW 36th St., Ankeny). Visitation and a cookies and ice cream reception will follow from 2:30 - 4:30 PM.

Born Nov. 2, 1957, in Fort Dodge, Chuck’s life was defined by a tireless work ethic and a heart for service. A respected tradesman and founder of Wiemann Home Inspection, he was known for his uncompromising integrity and craftsmanship. A founding partner of The Ridge, Chuck’s faith guided his quiet generosity. He was a mentor to many in both the trades and faith.

His greatest joy was his family. Whether playing games or pickleball, enjoying family vacations, or laughing with his grandkids and friends, Chuck’s steady love was their foundation. He will be remembered for his distinct “chuckle,” his signature work towels, and his legacy of faith.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years, Julie; children, Christopher (Amanda) and Nicole (Rolando); grandchildren, Dawson, Fletcher, and Josie; and siblings, Terry and Lesley Wiemann. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Delores and Roger Birdsall, his father Lester Wiemann, and his brother, Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial to Prairie Ridge Church or Above and Beyond Cancer.
