JACKSON JUNCTION — Jaden Penning rushed for 224 yards and five touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass in AGWSR’s 58-40 win over Turkey Valley on Friday, Sept. 11.

Bo Gerbracht threw for a touchdown and ran for another from the quarterback spot.

Penning also led the Cougars defensively, recording eight tackles, including five solo stops.

Jared Granzow and Ben Reinke recovered Trojan fumbles as AGWSR improved to 2-1 overall.

Penning is tied for second in the state in rushing touchdowns with 11. Cale Culver, who scored a touchdown, added a pair of two-point conversions and is tied for second in the state for two-point conversions and two-point conversion points.

AGWSR plays host to North Iowa (2-1) this Friday at home.

North Iowa is led by quarterback Brett Dodge, who has passed for three touchdowns and defensively by Tyler Murray with 19 total tackles, including six for losses.
