She might be new to the position, but Heather Taylor has loved everything about being a postmaster since taking the job at the Hampton Post Office this winter.
"It's been surreal," she said. "I still don't feel like a postmaster. I thought that when I became a postmaster, I would feel like one. But I just feel like a member of the team here."
Taylor was hired in February and started her full-time duties in March. She's new here, but she's no novice with the U.S. Postal Service by any means. She began her career in 2006 as a mail carrier for the Waterloo Post Office and gradually worked her way up the ladder there.
