That Post-Election Feeling…
By:

spends so much time (months) preparing for the election that when it’s over, it feels like a
void.
Well, that feeling of a void hasn’t really set in since we are still busy with post-election activities, but it’s coming! Since Election Day on November 4th, we have been busy
getting all the supplies sorted and put away until the next election, entering Election Day registrations, applying vote credit to everyone’s profiles that voted, gathering all the
materials for the Supervisors to hold the Canvass of votes today, paying PEO’s for their time, and more.
I thought you’d be interested to know some statistics from the 2025 City-School Election.
•A total of 1001 voters cast ballots on Election Day, this is voter turnout of about
16%.
•119 absentee ballots were cast in the election.
•We had 39 Precinct Election Officials working the polls on election day.
•A team of 6 workers made up our Absentee & Special Precinct Board.
•A team of 2 workers visited the three healthcare facilities in the county helping
those residents vote.
•2 amazing gentlemen delivered supplies the day before the election and picked
up all the supplies the day after the election.
•2 fabulous ladies roam throughout the county on the day of election providing
support to the poll workers for me.
•8 people served as runners on the night of the election, bringing the results of
each polling place back to the courthouse.
As you can see, it takes a lot of people to put on an election! And all these numbers don’t reflect the endless hours that my staff put in getting ready for the election either and
I certainly couldn’t do it without them! We truly are a team with each person having their responsibilities and we all work together to get it all done! I’ve been blessed with one of
the best work support systems and I am forever grateful to them! If you’re curious about any other election stats, don’t hesitate to reach out. Now, I might go sleep for a few extra
days! Until next time….
