Reader enjoys Ferris’ column

Dear Editor,
    Mickey Ferris's “Iowa's Wonderful Winter Weather...(Jan. 11)” should make anyone just shut up if they feel like complaining about our weather.
    That, and all the other history lessons she has had published in The Chronicle, make the paper a great package. We all have important decisions to make each day (personally and as a community) and knowing history is the best tool we have in choosing the right path for the future.
    Mrs. Ferris and The Chronicle deserve our heartfelt thanks for their contributions to our knowledge and ability to improve our world.
