Hampton native in social media internship for Iowa State

AMES – Last week, Hampton-Dumont graduate Carter Collins ‘confessed’ to being the ‘Snapchat Guy’ for Iowa State athletics.
The 22-year-old senior at Iowa State University had just finished a political internship in Scotland, came home and the next day landed another, taking all sorts of social media to another level for the Cyclones during its historic basketball season.
He admits there wasn’t an obligation to keep his position in the social media department secret, he only didn’t actively admit to it, either. Collins made the announcement now that basketball season is over and softball season hasn’t picked up yet.
“I didn’t want…to take away the magic of the brand,” Collins explained.
