It's no secret that folks in Hampton and all over Franklin County love their tractors.

Whether it’s a Farmall, a John Deere, or another brand of reliable machinery used for working the fields or just driving around town for fun like the indominitable Ray Baltes, it's safe to say tractors are big time in this area.

That's why this Saturday's Antique Tractor Parade, sponsored by radio stations KLMJ and KQCR will be so fun.

Craig Donnelly, of KLMJ and KQCR, said the event has grown each year and, now in its 11th year, will likely feature more than 100 different tractors.

"We're expecting over 100. Right now, we have 94 pre-registered," Donnelly said on Monday. "Guys can still sign up that day. We have drivers from four states – Wisconsin, Arizona, Iowa, and Minnesota – and we have drivers from 22 counties."
