Windsor looks to rebound in 2015

If it seemed like there were a few more empty seats at Hampton’s Windsor Theatre last year, you weren’t imagining things.
     Attendance dropped 18 percent to 19,775 in 2014, according to a report released last month by Manager Jim Davies. The final tally was the third-lowest since 1999 and marked the second time in three years attendance came in under 20,000.
     “I wasn’t necessarily surprised,” Davies said. “It could be for a variety of different reasons. Maybe the movies last year weren’t as good; maybe it was something else.”
     The Windsor wasn’t alone. According to “Business Insider,” national movie theater attendance hit a 20-year low in 2014 and was down 6 percent from the previous year.
