The Hampton-Dumont-CAL High School drama department is out to prove that murder and comedy can coincide in the same story.
H-D-CAL students this weekend will present “Is There a Doctor in the House?” – a comedy murder mystery set in a hospital – as its annual spring play.
Director Tammy Morris said the play differs from the last couple selections, which have been more historical pieces in “Pocahontas” and “Little Women.” While those plays were rich with historical lessons, Morris said this play will keep the audience on their toes and challenge them to think “whodunit.”
“There are a lot of characters in this who might have a motive or no motive whatsoever,” she said. “It’s an entertaining story and also one you can solve.”
