West Hancock runs by West Fork

SHEFFIELD – What started out promising for West Fork turned south quickly against a run-happy West Hancock football team.
Lukas Wogen connected with Mitchell Halloran for a 71-yard touchdown pass on the Warhawks’ first play from scrimmage and Ian Gonzalez’ two-point conversion run had them up on the visitors 8-0 just 21 seconds into last Friday’s game.
But a methodical 11-play, 63-yard touchdown drive for the Eagles tied it up and then forced the Warhawks to go 3-and-out, proceeded to march 71 more yards in six plays following that to take the lead for good.
