PARKERSBURG – Apparently, word got out that West Fork was having a costume night in the Class 2A district final.

Dike-New Hartford senior Carson Parker went as his own One-Man Army.

The senior for the Wolverines single-handedly tried to take down the third-ranked Warhawks, scoring all but two of D-NH’s 31 points at half and finished with 47 in an eventual 66-64 victory for coach Frank Schnoes’ West Fork team on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

“The Parker kid is better than he was last year,” Schnoes said. “Spencer (Halloran) is as good a defender as there is around and he got in foul trouble, so we put Hunter (Myers) on him and I thought they both actually did a good job on him. He’s just one real good player, if he’s in a groove there’s not much you can do."
