GREENE – It is amazing how one player can make a difference.

Despite Class 2A No. 11-ranked North Butler’s plethora of weapons, West Fork senior Lindsey Peterson, the go-to girl among the Warhawks, made sure that her team would be the one walking away undefeated on Thursday, Sept. 12.

The match was made to be an interesting one from the get-go as both entered with unblemished records with five and two wins among them, but West Fork outlasted North Butler 16-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20, 15-10.

“North Butler is a big rival of ours ever since it joined Allison and Greene,” West Fork coach Abbee Gappa said. “We’ve done a phenomenal job of just keeping our heads in, knowing that they are a beatable team and tonight we proved it.”
