West Fork girls dispatch Rockford

SHEFFIELD – It didn’t take long for the West Fork girls’ basketball team to impose its will on Rockford, rolling out to a 20-2 lead after a quarter in an eventual 43-10 victory over the Warriors on Friday, Dec. 1.
The Warhawks looked the experienced senior-led team against a Rockford team that is rebuilding, returning just one starter from a team that finished in a three-way tie for the Top of Iowa East Conference.
“We know our roles and we’ve been playing this defense for two years now and we get it,” West Fork coach Rodney Huber said. “We certainly played good defense against Clear Lake. They (The Lions) obviously shot the ball really well; we made them earn it..."
