SHEFFIELD – In a whirlwind finish in which one referee blew the whistle for a foul and another came in and overruled him for a clean block as time expired, West Fork survived Northwood-Kensett 60-59 at home on Friday, Feb. 6.
The win set off a celebration for the Warhawks, who trailed for much of the game against the Vikings.
“Oh my God, I don’t even know, it was unbelievable,” said Madison Shreckengost, who led the Warhawks with 23 points, about the finish. “It was the best feeling ever knowing that we beat them again. It was just awesome."
