West Fork gains see-saw game against Lake Mills

SHEFFIELD – Never mind the fact that West Fork girls basketball team trailed by 10 in the early going against Lake Mills.
A determined effort in the second quarter got the Warhawks back into it and turned it into a game in which both teams traded punches down the stretch in a Class 2A Region 3 game in which coach Rodney Huber’s team emerged with a 56-52 victory.
Sydney Shreckengost scored 14, hitting for eight of West Fork’s last 10 points, all in the last 4 minutes, 29 seconds remaining on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Sheffield.
