HAMPTON – West Fork took advantage of a couple of inning-starting errors by Hampton-Dumont’s defense in order to take a 5-1 final win to go undefeated at the H-D softball triangular on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams routed West Hancock with the Bulldogs taking a 14-3 win over the Eagles while going all seven innings. It took the Warhawks six to dispatch them, 10-0.

So, it came down to the final game to decide the day’s winner and after H-D took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth, West Fork came right back and took the lead for good when Britta Becker started things off by reaching on an error.
