West Fork came to hit against AGWSR

ACKLEY – Right from the first batter, West Fork certainly had its hitting shoes on against AGWSR on Thursday, June 14 during this non-conference baseball game at Ackley.
Lead-off hitter Mitchell Halloran started the game off with a home run to right, his first of two on the night against first-time varsity starter Ben Macy, on a night when the wind was howling out in an eventual 11-5 Warhawk victory.
Coach Lance Thompson’s team combined for 12 hits off of the Cougars, including three home runs and were hit with six pitches, three of which came around to score.
“It did (set the table),” Thompson said of Halloran’s lead-off homer, “and the other guys followed with good contacts, as well..."
