SHEFFIELD – A break-out fourth quarter for West Fork’s boys basketball team resulted in a huge 56-39 cross-divisional Top of Iowa Conference win over West Hancock on Saturday, Jan. 28.
Leading by just a 32-29 margin heading into the final eight minutes, the Warhawks outscored the previously Class 1A No. 9-ranked Eagles 24-10 to improve to 12-4 overall.
West Fork then proceeded to score the first 12 points of the quarter to end any suspense.
Defense is something West Fork coach Frank Schnoes lauded.
The entire story appears in the Feb. 1 print and online editions of the Hampton Chronicle.
