West Fork battles traditionally strong Emmetsburg

SHEFFIELD – Going up against tradition-rich Emmetsburg, West Fork showed that it wasn’t going to back down.
But the E-Hawks also showed that they were hard to stop as the visitors posted a 33-15 win over the Warhawks on Friday, Sept. 11.
Scoring on its first three possessions of the first half, Emmetsburg was held to just 12 points the rest of the way despite a 14-play drive to end the second quarter, in fact, having fourth-and-goal from the one and walking away empty-handed.
“Second half, I thought the effort was tremendous,” West Fork coach Eric Gabe said....
