We Should Know These Things

I promised to write about this so here goes. In appreciation of the paradise in which we live, where would we be without complainers? Where would we be if they hadn’t taken action?

I voted for Trump. He said he’d end the wars on day one. He’s not the guy I voted for. He’s been purchased.

I think it’s pretty difficult for people here to fathom what it’s like to be in a war. It appears to be real easy to lack compassion for the poor souls caught up in politicians’ quarrels. For example, did anyone really think the Vietnamese would come ashore to regulate and tax us? Yet those who spoke out were hated with a vengeance.

Our rulers are now totally out of control in such bizarre ways. Our president invited Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman into the White House as an honored guest. The Crown Prince commanded his thugs to murder Washington Post reporter, Jamal Khashoggi. U.S. Intelligence has concluded that it was the prince who ordered Khashoggi drugged, killed, and dismembered in 2018.

We can take solace in the fact that Khashoggi was just one person, a tiny speck compared to the devastating wars promoted by the military industrial complex that did zero to guarantee our safety.

Another celebrity that gets my ire is Mike Huckabee. I met him in Hampton when he was parading around yelling “Free lunch, get your free lunch!” Some of you might remember economist Milton Friedman’s most prophetic declaration: “There is no free lunch.”

Huckabee has been palling around with Jonathan Pollard, a convicted spy for Israel. Secretary of Defense, Caspar Weinberger said that Pollard had given Israel enough U.S. secrets “to fill a space 6 feet by 6 feet by 10 feet.” Huckabee, the so-called Christian who wears a yarmulke, is our ambassador to Israel and can stay there. Arkansas is too good for him. Israel gave those secrets to the Soviet Union in exchange for them releasing some Jews from their prison-camp of a country. (By the way, I found out that federal prison can actually parole a prisoner, contrary to news reports. Pollard only served 30 years of his life sentence.)

Benjamin Netanyahu okayed loads of cash transferred from Qatar to Hamas in order to counter PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) influence. The plan was to divide the Palestinians to prevent formation of a state of their own. He’s said this himself. Google “Gaza then and now” to see the far reaching results of Netanyahu’s support of Hamas.

The parade of evil at the White House must include al-Qaeda veteran Ahmed al-Sharaa of course. What a job al-Qaeda did in not only killing 3,000 people outright but also prompting our government to spend $8 trillion on the War On Terror costing 900,000 people their lives.

When will we have complained enough?
