Upgrades planned for Mallory Park

     Officials at Franklin County Conservation are hoping a large capital investment will increase traffic at a popular local campground.
     Work is underway on a new bathroom facility at Mallory Park. Once finished, three new stalls with showers will be available to campers this summer. Preliminary groundwork began last fall with construction hoped for completion before Memorial Day.
     For park ranger Brody Bertram, the addition was a welcomed sight at the conservation department’s most used park.
     “With this update, hopefully it will go from being the most popular location to being near capacity every nice weekend of the summer,” he said.
