High turnout and positive feedback have Chamber officials feeling good about last month’s Tuesday on the Town festivities.
“We had an amazing season this year,” said Hope Polk, Chamber marketing manager. “Attendance was great, which makes all the hard work that goes into it worthwhile.”
Both Polk and Chamber director Newton Grotzinger believed turnout was some of the highest in the event’s history. Great weather probably played a factor, as rain clouds and hot temps stayed at bay for all five celebrations.
The entertainment was good, too. Grotzinger felt an even mixture of modern and traditional music gave visitors of all ages a reason to show up each Tuesday night. Every event featured live performances from a Nashville recording artist and the Hampton Municipal Band, which followed a format from previous years.
