Summer will make its unofficial debut next week when Hampton’s Tuesday on the Town celebration returns for the 2015 season.
The event will once again make its home inside Band Shell Park in downtown Hampton. The weekly celebration will be held each Tuesday in June and features food, live music and local retailers.
Country music artist Tyler Barham will headline festivities on June 2.
“He’s a younger guy and he sounds pretty good,” said Newton Grotzinger, director of the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce. “We have two artists this year that are bringing their bands with them, and I think that’s going to be really interesting.”
This year’s Tuesday on the Town format will mirror previous years. Food will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with the guest artist hitting the Band Shell stage promptly thereafter for an hour-long performance. The world famous Hampton Municipal Band will then takeover at 8 p.m. for its weekly performance.
