An unexpected rainstorm didn’t dampen the excitement for the return of Tuesday on the Town.
The June concert series began last Tuesday with a performance by Nashville recording artist Julia Capogrossi and accompanying guitarist Adam Scott. Rain delayed the concert by a few minutes, but once the clouds cleared, the duo entertained the crowd with both original and cover songs.
The Hampton Municipal Band followed with an array of patriotic tunes, marches and more.
Newton Grotzinger, Executive Director for the Greater Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, said the event had a good turnout despite the weather. He said about 200 meals were served at the Hampton Senior Citizens Center prior to the concert and about 150 people stuck around for music. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the senior center.
