Tough go for area teams at H-D volleyball tournament

HAMPTON – Hampton-Dumont may have played a lot of tough teams at its own tournament on Saturday, Oct. 10, but it wasn’t something that head coach Dave Harms said his team hasn’t seen already.
The Bulldogs came away from it without a win in four matches against South Hamilton, South Hardin, Charles City, and in consolation, Independence.
“Our tournament is a tough tournament,” Harms conceded. “A lot of teams are ranked at a lot of different levels at our tournament and we’ve seen them a couple of times on the weekend, too, but we have to play the ball we need to play and we haven’t done that.
“We’ll have sparks of greatness where we do a lot of things right..."
