Teggatz left out of Class 2A state field as coach Huling calls it a career

DIKE – Two seconds.
A mere two ticks of the clock is what left Hampton-Dumont sophomore Patty Teggatz from qualifying for her second state meet at the Class 2A qualifier held by Dike’s Fox Ridge Golf Course on Thursday, Oct. 22.
It ends the coaching career for long-time Bulldog head man Steve Huling, who said via email that he will be retiring from coaching after this season.
“We were badly depleted by injuries at the state qualifying meet at Dike-New Hartford,” Huling said. “Patty Teggatz and Gisselle Gutierrez were the only two healthy girls that we had. Never dreamed we’d start with 10 and end up with two..."
